With more than 10,000 cigarette butts dropped on the streets of Melbourne every working day, many of which end up in our iconic Yarra River, Butt Free Australia has joined forces with City of Melbourne, EPA Victoria and Melbourne Water to highlight the problem of butt littering.
Between 30 August and 1 September the Butt FREE Melbourne education desk will rotate between Bourke Street Mall, Flinders Street Station and Queensbridge Square respectively. The desk is the place to learn more about ways to make a difference, get a free personal ashtray and posters for your workplace.
Combined with live radio reads, advertising in the popular MX and large outdoor poster sites strategically placed around the CBD, the message is clear – Butt Littering. It’s Not a Good Look.
